The Suns have agreed to terms with Monty Williams to become the team’s new head coach. Williams is currently an assistant coach with the 76ers and will begin his duties following the conclusion of the 76ers’ season.

Novi trener Sunsa je dosadašni pomoćni trener Philadelphija 76ersa Monty Williams, koji je postao jubilarni 20 trener u povijesti franšize iz Phoenixa.

Bit će mu ovo drugi trenerski posao, a ranije je vodio New Orleans u razdoblju od 2010. do 2015. godine. Prije toga bio je pomoćni trener u Portland Trail Blazersima, a nakon toga pomoćnik u Oklahoma City Thunderu i Philadelphiji.

Williams bi trebao potpisati petogodišnji ugovor sa Sunsima, a očekuje se puno bolja sezona nego što je bila pod vodstvom Kokoškova.
